List of products by artist Stéphanie Slama

After graduating from California State University with a degree in Fine Arts, Stephanie Slama studied with the New York School of Visual Arts and the Paris Ecole Supérieure d’Arts Graphiques / Penninghen graphic design and photography with Elle magazine art director Peter Knapp.

Her work as production assistant for fashion photographers Mario Testino, Vincent Peters, Sean Ellis at Art Partner for Gucci, Vogue, Arena, Dutch, The Face, Dazed and Confused, led to a position as Associate Paris Fashion Editor for Claudie Rappeneau at Glamour magazine. She was then hired as Art Director at Pennel for Guerlain, L’Oréal, and Helena Rubinstein and then TCF Consultants for Cacharel, and Givenchy.

She is currently working as a professional photographer and art director creating advertising, catalogue, editorial, celebrity portraiture, and other published works for Lanvin, Chloé, Dunhill, Caron, Le Figaro, Le Monde, Paris Capitale magazine, etc. She is represented in Paris by the agency of Valerie Anne Giscard d’Estaing, Photo12, and in London by Millennium. She has photographed numerous French celebrities such as Bérénice Bejo, Antoine de Caunes, Cécile Cassel, Francis Huster, Elsa Zylberstein, Nikos Aliagas, Isabelle Adjani, Jean-Hughes Anglade, Judith Godrèche, and many more.

Her style is often described as « very American » with strong use of color and texture, and unexpected surprises in a darker, edgier sepia. Her fine tuned eye as a graphic designer carries over to her photographic compositions, and humour can be found throughout.

With the aim of better photographing actors, she recently studied with “Actor’s Studio” co-founder Lee Strasberg’s son John Strasberg, then with F.A.C.T. founder Sarah Eigerman and also with Italian actor Giovanni Savoia at Insieme Carpe Diem. She became enthralled with the craft of acting itself and has been working regularly as a professional actor in a number of French film and television productions.
