The star photographer of the sixties discovered photo, jazz and blues in 1959, during the holidays. Photo and music then became his two passions.

In 1961, the photographer was fan of rock : Fats Domino, Chuck Berry, Buddy Holly, Tommy Steele, ... He frequented the Golf-Drouot (birthplace of Rock in France) where he crossed in front of the juke -box Johnny Hallyday, Eddy Mitchell, Chris Long and Dalton of which he photographed the first record cover.

In 1961, the photograph of celebrities, with a photography of Louis Armstrong, got his first appearance on a press of a major newspaper. He integrated the staff photographer of the legendary french magazine " Salut les Copains " in 1964.

In 1972, Tony Frank left the variety magazine to create an other magazine, "HIT Magazine". However, he returned at "Salut les Copains" in 1977.

In 1983, he started the famous photo agency Sygma Corbis before becoming independant in 1995.
